UGA and Ala have better players than the teams they beat especially along the lines of scrimmage and defensive front 7.
it could have been Mich vs Alabama instead of UGA. Teams that are run dominate and that can not pass the ball or do not have a elite QB and elite passing game are NOT going to beat those teams.
to be at the top it comes down to 2 things
1. Jimmys and joes especially at the line of scrimmage
2. Elite QB play
If you have this then schemes come into play
If you don’t have this then it does not matter what scheme you have you are going to lose
