Not beat a top-15 team and rival in Florida... Not beat an average UNC team and get back on track to be 1-0 in the Conference and ahead of UNC in the Coastal Division... Not show signficant improvement on offense and efficiency both on 3rd Down and in the Red Zone... Not give the Special Teams the dynnamic game changing impact it has sorely been lacking since the days of Hester... Not put out an elite defense from yester-years after that showing last night against a freshman QB.
No, but we did roll out an 0-2 record, and that is the first time a coaching staff has achieved that since Jimmy Carter was president, gas was 66 cents per gallon, and "Night Fever" by the Bee Gees was top of the Billboard Charts. Not Coker's later years, Shannon, Golden, or even Richt with one foot in retirement, managed to pull off an 0-2 start like this staff has done.
You won't see me calling for any firings right now, but we are in a serious situation, and only 2 games into this new regime. The reality is that last night a lot of people lost a lot of faith, trust, and belief in this coaching staff. Only winning, and really winning out at this point, will restore that.
