I will say I am a bit underwhelmed with these decisions....
T-Rob is an upgrade
DVD vs Rumph remains to be seen
Simpson vs Stroud feels like a push
BUT the glaring weakness of this defense was the play calling and LBs and we did nothing to improve that....
I have said it in other threads, I’m not sure what baker brings to this staff, he has not recruited all that well, is position group is the weakest on the team...his game planning surely hasn’t wowed anyone and he calls defenses scared to the extent that Manny has to take that from him....huge disappointment....
I asked Gary to look at this years defense man vs zone. Pressure vs not etc.I think that would be very telling...
So now this looks like Golden part 3, Manny loses all credibility now if this doesn’t work... when this defense and the LBs don’t improve, then it is fair to call for his firing...
When you are given an opportunity and resources to make changes and you say I’m good, then you live with the consequences
