Of the naysayers out there, Berrios said, "We don't listen to it, are not worried about them. We're not. We're going to be good. We know we're going to be good. That's all that matters to us. We can't stop them from saying anything, we can't sway their opinion and we don't care to."
WR Herb Waters says "it was a great first day of practice."
Waters says a big difference for this team is "everyone is keeping a positive attitude, bonding together ... it's very much different (than previous years). We're not cliqued up anymore, everyone is staying as one family. Everyone is hanging with each other. That's a good thing."

"Outside everyone is going to talk, but we know what we have inside," he said. "It really doesn't matter what everybody says."
DE Demetrius Jackson doesn't mince words. He says this defense can be the nation's top-ranked unit.
"I think our defense is going to make a big impact this year, is going to I think be the top defense in the nation," Jackson said.
What makes him say that?
"We're out here practicing, aren't out here practicing to be mediocre," Jackson said. "Were out here practicing to be great. We're going to show you. It's easier said than done. I know what we've got, so we're going to show you."
