The ACA was another Obama complete failure. The exchanges in many states were struggling to keep at least one insurer for those that wanted ACA coverage. As usual, you don't have a clue.

I thought I told you I am as sharp as they come. Prior to Obamacare 15percent of Americans were uninsured. By 2018 8percent were uninsured. Do you realize that because of Obamacare more than 18 Million people could now get insurance?

Because they were penalized if they did not buy and once premiums and deductibles skyrocketed many bailed out. In addition many people who were insured and happy with their insurance were kicked off their policies as those policies were discontinued.

CD it was called "the mandate" meaning if you did not buy insurance then there was a penalty price to pay on your tax return. Individual MANDATE. The Government forced you to buy insurance or levied a punishment. It was critical part of ACA.

Conservatives know that the Federal Gov't is not a business, is inefficient and wasteful with everything they run. This is a blanket statement. Every other country does not. It is not less expensive and you can't say that. It won't cut out the middle man because with the Federal Gov't the middle men are the lobbyists. Just look at Medicaire and how bloated and wasteful it is. That is your blue print.

The federal government aren't the middle man in this, they are the regulator of funds and negotiator of lower prices. We currently pay an exorbitant and unsustainable price for healthcare relative to our GDP, which means we need to switch systems in order to make that number go down. This is not a matter of if, its a matter of when.
Under the current, predatory insurance centric system, we currently pay twice as much as we should. That's money that could be saved by way of getting rid of high healthcare costs, insurance, premiums, deductibles, and exorbitantly high prescription drug prices. We can get our numbers down to about $5-7k per head under a medicare for all system, which is why I said it should appeal to anyone who is a fiscal conservative.
