My third report of the day takes us to Valley in Clemson.
Built in 1942 with an initial capacity of 20k for 125k (2.2 mil adjusted). As is the case with every stadium it has grown over the years t its current capacity of 86k. In 2011 they added a 50 mil athletic building.

The nickname "Death Valley" for Memorial Stadium, derives both from Death Valley National Park in California as well as the location of the Clemson University cemetary on a hill that once overlooked the field—before the upper decks were constructed. It has been referred to as death valley since the 50s.

Miami holds an impressive 2-0record in their house and are 6-4 overall vs Clemson.I guess road victories at Clemson would be one of the few bright spots of Cane football over the last 15 years.

As for the stadium journey ratings it received a solid 4.4 fanfare score and a crowd score of 3.9. The stadium has ample concessions so no long lines, but the bad news is no booze. Clemson is very much a college town and there are a lot of tavern style bars and restaurants near the stadium. The area is pretty and fans are friendly. Crowd turnout is good and tailgating is solid aswell. A lot of southern hospitality and there is quite a bit of tradition to be found. The noise in game is loud and intimidating to opposing teams.

Game day traditions, how about coming down the hill d touching the rock as the players run onto the field:
