There is no success of red state policies. It was the early reopening of states like GA and FL that contributed to the spike in cases after we had cases down to a very low daily count in early June. Ultimately, people travel from state to state so unless you have an aggressive national shutdown, you are simply going to keep getting more and more cases.

I live in Idaho. We have never had a mask mandate. In fact, no one even wears a mask. I only wear one in Costco. Only place here that enforces it. We have no problem with COVID. Schools are open here, businesses and restaurants are completely open here. Life is completely normal here. Must be a miracle. I guess COVID doesnt like it here. Loves liberal states.

What's there to explain - here's a chart plainly showing Obama's progress after stabilizing the great recession into a recovery and pre-COVID pandemic. As you see....the Trump years were merely a continuation of the Obama trend.

That's obviously not true. Unemployment was high because of the great recession (which Obama inherited from Dubya). That took a couple of years to turn the ship around but once it happened, unemployment finished at about 4.7%, which is pretty respectable.

Yep, 50 states. Statistically there are better ways to find what is towards the middle then numbering them 1-50. They certainly arent an outlier, even considering the state doesnt buy into the hysteria and ruin peoples lives. I would say looking at the small differences the draconian lockdowns are not worth the damage they have caused.

Even Dr Fauci said that your first statement simply isn't true. Herd immunity is at least rooted in science although Sweden, who many thought did this the right way, has seen spikes. On the other hand, places like Germany and S Korea have also seen spikes, even though they took more drastic measures to fight the virus. Could it be that this is just an unprecedented virus that would have been this bad no matter who was in charge? As far as the experts go, they have been changing their minds on COVID from the start and much of what they are doing now is still just guesswork.
