In 2006 after FIU brawl.
"This isn't the old Miami, this is the NEW MIAMI".
I know the great things she did here as President but listening and watching that presser just now on the 30 on 30 and hearing her say it definitely raises the blood pressure a little.
That was the biggest problem I had with her and her followers. Instead of APPRECIATING and EMBRACING OUR PAST, she wanted nothing to do with our past and put as much distance as possible.
She did a great job raising a $hit load of $$$ for the school. Her commercials throwing up the U ect... What are football team accomplished and did for the city and the Brand that was built across the Nation made her job a lot easier and was the main reason IMO why raising that $$ wasn't hard. She had no problem pimping, using, and selling our brand to get what she wanted for the school but didn't do right by our program with low ball hires and not being fully invested into the program that changed the game of college football for the better.
At the end of the day, as long as the program is squeaky clean she didn't give a $hit if this was a dominant football team like it was prior to her arrival. She was content attending and watching an 8-4, 7-5 team year in and year out because the $$$ was coming in.
Our program deserved better because so many doors and opportunities were opened and available because of what they accomplished. The best 25 year run in college football history. So again, her quote and hirings speak for themselves as to what she thought of our history. I love how she refuses to ever sign any of our 30 for 30 DVDs. At the end of the day, she bit the hand that fed her and I don't want to hear how she saved us from the Shapiro mess because at end of the day, this happened under her entire tenure here.
