Bubba Baxa missed the 27 yard field goal. That’s when everything went south. I am not looking to be hard on Baxa, but that kick would have put us down only 23 to 24. The decision when we got the ball back for the last touch would have been different as we could have won with just a field goal and we were in a position to do that. I wanted to be in that position bad not only to win the game, but that would have hit Mullin in his front teeth for going for it earlier in the game on fourth down instead of kicking the field goal. He disrespected our defense and if we would have not missed that 27 yard field goal we might have won.
We all can see the weaknesses in the team, but if they improve every game this could be a very respectable team by the end of the year. I was proud of their effort they gave the whole game. It was sloppy but the number 8 ranked team in the country had the sh%t scared out of them tonight.
