Why you think a college without an AD would fire their football coach? It's the AD's literal job to do this. Especially when the president is on the record about having their AD handle sports. What would happen if we fired Manny right now? Who would oversee the program until a new coach is hired? Wouldn't you want the new AD to be in charge of that search? Do you really think we can fire Manny and replace him with Mario without his boss being in place? If you guys want to be mad it took so long to fire James then I get it. It should have happened a couple of weeks (years) before it actually did so a new AD could have been hired before the end of the season, but it didn't.

I'm sure they're also aware if the new AD is the one to fire Manny, the appearance would be they hit a homerun hire even though it should be an easy decision. It'll buy him an amazing start of his career here.

Firing Manny makes all the sense in the world to me, just doing it without an AD in place doesn't (especially when his buyout comes down tomorrow).
