I keep hearing that Manny can't recruit, but when I look up the team recruiting rankings since he's been HC I see the U a #13 in 2020 and #10 in 2021 in the Rivals final team rankings. Amd if you look at the rosters for those two classes, we got some really good players that are starting and have bright futures. Yeah some might say his asst coaches get the credit, but Manny is the HC and must sign off on the offers.
Now, I am on the side of replacing Manny and would love to see one of Mario or Lane as the next HC, sooner rather than later. But I don't get all the noise about Manny not being able to identify talent and get them signed. I will also say that this year's class is stressed, but he is operating under difficult conditions (his fault) so I'm not surprised how underwhelming this class currently looks.
In the end there are plenty of other areas to be critical of Manny (and I mean plenty), but why all the noise about him not being able to recruit? Show me the data.
