Jon Vilma said it best. Malik could read the play,it was just his physical limitations of arm
strength,Height, the whole pkg. is just not Top 25 Caliber. I actually think he would make
a good coach. Why not? He seems to be a great teammate and positive guy. I think he
saw guys open over the middle over on deep outs he just couldn't make the throws.
I think that is what tipped the deal for Richt. How the hell could he run the offense when
his trigger man couldn't make half of the throws in the offensive pkg. There is a reason
some guys get offers from us and then D1AA schools. Especially at the QB position where
kids are sliced and diced in person and film wise beginning in middle school. With Perry
and guys like Jarren Williams it's all on their mental make up and film study and just
working at the craft of being a QB. I think that is what made Malik look better in practice.
He could tell Richt and Richt Jr. this is where the ball should go and knew every pos.
just limited physically.
