Did you know that during the democrat's manager part of the trial, that privately there were reports that some republican senators couldn't believe what they were hearing for the first time? Because all the news they had watched to this point was Fox News snd Fox News was omitting key things on the Ukrainian issue and only telling part of the story as well as twisting and lying about much of the story.
So these couldn't believe their ears. Unfortunately this won't change anything. They still wear sheep's wool and Trump is their shepherd.
As seemingly another shoe drops each day, Trump is leading these senators and supporters off a cliff. Guys like Mitch and Lindsey, and more, may have tougher races as a result come Nov.

Sessions will be running against Doug Jones here in Alabama. Jones is very moderate, right about where I am. The suburban women and the African American men & women could decide this race IF ONLY they turn out.
Jeff Sessions is an old school ultra-conservative has-been who despite Trump's poor treatment of him when he was the AG, he'll still lick Trump's balls. Sessions will get the uneducated white redneck vote. That right there is a lot of votes and it worries me.
Jones on the other hand is doing everything he can to ensure he's convinced by evidence that Trump should be impeached, before he makes a decision which way to vote. He is not in sheep mode to convict Trump. Evidence must stand on its merits. Trump won Alabama by 30% I believe, so Jones' seat will be hard to keep, but he's a good man. 25 years ago Jones would be considered a moderate republican. Example of how far the right has shifted to the extreme. I don't even recognize that party. I voted republican my entire life up until McCain-Palin. Palin being the main reason that I had to change my vote although I'm still not "party affiliated" in any way, shape or form.
Bernie is actually pulling away in Iowa and new Hampshire. I understand Biden leads in national polls but obviously with our system that doesn't mean much. If Joe doesn't win south Carolina he is toast. I hope this doesn't happen but it looks like Bernie might have a lot of momentum if he wins the first 2 states.

Biden will win SC. The Black vote is loyal and will give him the push he will need. Frankly, Dems will have a problem if the nominee is an open Socialist. Can't beat that POS in the WH with Bernie heading the ticket. With that being said, he could right the ship and win if he picks a much younger person as his VP like a Stacy Abrams or Kamala Harris.
Frankly, Jones should vote no to impeachment. Sometimes you lose a battle or two but in the end the prize is to win that seat for 6 more years. Bigger fish to fry like judges and keeping Obamacare intact.

It would be stacy abrams. Actually I think Abrams has VP all but locked up unless Warren wins. No way in hell anyone picks Harris. Nobody seems to like her very much outside of California.
I agree about Harris. Her likeability numbers are under water. She couldn't attract support from African Americans.
He's playing it cautious because Trump is so popular here. Whatever he thinks is best to win, I support him vs Jeff Sessions.
