Republicans believe in strong military. Who voted for increased military spending over the last 50 years? Republicans! Dems vote against it.
Then why aren't you railing against DOD when we know billions are being wasted? Instead, you spend your time preventing families from having affordable healthcare or not properly funding our educational systems?
So which is it? Is the government control of the military the shining example for you or the black whole of spending when the governments in control?

Obama didn’t have a Dem congress for 6 years. They control spending. He was never for the much neeed up grades. You know it. If Dems are in control our military will fall short and if socialist are then we won’t have one period.

The whole democratic leadership prove me wrong. I'm not wrong Lou a bill was sent to the senate and not one democratic leader voted for it. President Trump had even gave them what they wanted a path for the dreamers that were here illegally to become citizens. Not one-of the democrats voted for it because of the wall. And border controls.
Our ability to fight wars and protect our interest is unquestionable but it certainly comes at a cost. That said, what else would you like our government to control?

I don’t think the government has done a great job running the DoD, rather I think our military is the greatest fighting force on earth despite it.

There always room for improvement but suffice it to say, while our military is extraordinary, there is vast room for improvement.
I often wonder why people feel the government does a lousy job of everything it touches? It always goes back to the people who elected our government officials.

They’re just following the party line. The real reason the Dems don’t want the wall,or even immigration reform, is not only about President Trump succeeding, but it will eliminate a hot button issue for their base. It’s simply politics.

There’s where we differ. I see the waste but also see where it should be diverted within the DoD. Again, shifting priorities generally means one area suffers while another gains, then reversed when a new administration comes in. Our military leaders do an exceptional job trying to balance it for the most part.
You and I will never agree on this. The military budget is bloated and is not directed at the right things.
