Are we any worse than we were last year? Or are we just less lucky this year. At this point last we easily could have been 4-3 (Ark St. game cancelled). We weren’t as good as our 10-0 record would have suggested last year. We easily could of lost to FSU, GT, and UNC (Syracuse too), if we hadn’t gotten lucky at the end of all three games.
My point is that last year was disguised by luck and we really haven’t made any improvement in the 3 years under Richt. If you spend $4MM plus on a guy with expectation that he will improve the program, he damn sure better be held accountable. So, when Blake sits down with him to do his performance review (added sarcasm) at the end of the season, he should require changes and put Richt in notice. Give him one year to improve with the requirement of hiring an OC, replacing his son, and hiring a new O-line coach.
Former players, media, and the majority of the fan base have lost all faith in Mark Richt. In the last 15 years, I haven’t seen a Miami coach come back from the position Richt is currently in. Everyone is calling for his head. Next Saturday is going to be embarrassing when they show the lack of attendance on ESPN2 @ 7:00pm and potentially a plane flying above...
