Miami through the Mas faction is clearly respecting Mario’s timetable for making a decision. That is understandable amidst the non-stop nervy fan frustration. However, in my opinion, this continues not to bode well for our cause to Hire Mario. As I stated Friday evening and again yesterday evening:
- Manny not fired
- No new AD
- No new HC
- nothing signed in writing and official
There has been nothing but premature noise, fake news, and static the last 3 to 5 days, with too many sheep fans trying to cling on to the slightest breadcrumb of optimistic social media news, irrespective of its credibility/authenticity, which is merely parroted on this Board by some posters, while other posters parrot joyous news from sources close to the situation. All that is missing is a Bigfoot sighting at this point in time.
Please.
We head into this Monday with the same disappointing level of no results which we had last Monday. Mario continues to waver on his most difficult coaching decision to date, and in my Opinion, each passing hour draws him closer to a return to Eugene to coach the Ducks next year. This is not a done deal; this has always been a complex, contentious, and delicate deal which precariously continues to hang in the balance with Miami teetering on the verge of national embarrassment from it all falling apart AD to HC.
I am neither a contrarian nor a negative Nancy- merely someone who has seen the Administration Lucy pull the football away from the Program/Fans Charlie Brown for the last 20 years, along with my own professional business litigation experience.
Perhaps I’m right; Perhaps I’m wrong. But I am as confident in my opinion now as I was one week ago at this time.
