Another twist to Texas building their wall puts Biden in pickle

Heard this last night. Texas has demanded all land taken by Federal gov't for the purpose of building wall given back to Texas. The State can not build the wall on actual border because a lot of that is actual Federal lands. This means Texas must pull back their wall say 30-50 yards off the border itself. This could put the Biden Admin. in the pickle of actually having to sue Texas to halt the construction of the wall. This would not look to good for Biden to go after Texas over this................

This is obviously a very dumb idea to begin with for reasons that have been discussed at length in other threads.

I know the Governor of Texas is dumb as a rock, but surely he must know that much of border land in Texas is privately owned and that even if he were to magically create a wall along the entire Texas-Mexico border (which is impossible given topographical issues), that migrants would still come into Texas via NM, AZ, & CA....which don't and will never have walls.

The case cited was initiated in December of 2020 when the traffic cone was still in office.

A Justice Department official told ABC News the Biden administration has moved to delay the court cases started under the previous administration for the duration of the ongoing review, and that the motion for possession granted last week was filed in 2020, not by the Biden administration.

"DOJ sought continuances in pending cases, including in this case, in which the government had previously filed motions for possession of land on the southwest border, in light of President Biden's Proclamation terminating the national emergency at the southern border of the United States and directing 'a careful review of all resources appropriated or redirected to construct a southern border wall,'" the official said.

Because of a legal process that was initiated under Trump that the DOJ allowed to play out. DOJ are independent of Biden, just like the Attorney General isn't the President's lawyer.

The DOJ are in charge of this not Biden. Unlike the last administration, he doesn't use the Department as his personal law firm.
