The unemployment rate is down and hourly wages are moving higher. The latest economic news has unemployment claims at a 52 year low. Here's a quote from the article below.

"Remember the best economy in 50 years late in 2019? Well, we're way, way, way above that right now. I don’t even think you can call this a reopening of the economy after the pandemic — we’re miles and miles ahead of the fourth quarter of 2019.”

Don’t you have to be previously employed to file for unemployment ? So if you stayed home didn’t work collected free government money where is your work history ? Never collected worked 45+ years but still think you have to meet certain criteria.
You must: - Have been paid wages* in two or more calendar quarters in the base period; - Have a total base period wages* of at least 1 ½ times the wages in the quarter having the highest earnings; and - Have at least $3,400 total wages* in the base period.

Demi's say 10 Million chose to remove themselves from wanting to work, claim 100 got new jobs and say Unemployment is down.
They say a twenty hour a week worker got a 10 cent an hour raise which equals $8.00 a month. That person is paying $100.00 a month more for gas and a $100 more per month for food, but in Bidennomics that a $192.00 loss in real ability to eat and pay bills is somehow a good thing????
Cackle, Cackle, Cackle

Do you ever read a thread and post what the topic is about?

The topic is about people filing new claims for unemployment not how many people are unemployed. Do you understand what you post ?
I will answer for CEMs as he is drunk under a park bench. He is not very bright, he voted for Biden. Three syllable words, fractions, decimal points and percentages are beyond his and most democrat voters comprehension. Cackle, Cackle, Cackle

Thanks but I’ve already had a long running post where he proved he didn’t even know what a single syllable word is.

It is but your response was nonresponsive. Come again.

You didn’t know what you posted which is evident by your original response so I really don’t expect you to be able to follow a response and discuss intelligently.

Unemployment rate is down , because so many people are getting paid not to work. I notice Op forgot to mention wages are not rising to keep up with inflation which has gone from 1.4% to 6.2% since he stumbled into office-Fact.
I guess OP must think we're winning at the border, winning with fentanyl deaths, winning at discovering the cause of the pandemic, winning with regard to China policy ( Hunter Is), winning in Afghanistan etc.

'In spite of' is what you mean. This great Republic is succeeding in spite of our putz of a President. So far, all he's done is give us a supply chain failure, unheard of inflation, a further wedge between our people and the need to import energy.

His planned future moves must be stopped. Hopefully we can hold out until midterm elections. The Independents will bury his clueless, sorry ass.

Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your grossly overpriced turkey. Drive slowly so that you burn less of your grossly overpriced gasoline.

You sound a bit jealous. You should be cuz Trump gave us a pandemic which he never owned up to and he shutdown the country. His inaction and time in office led to unnecessary deaths, inflation and social injustice. You can thank Trump for your overpriced turkey and gasoline.

Jealous, yeah, it would have been great to have won that election, great for all Americans...even for the non-thinkers, the Liberals. But that didn't happen, unfortunately this is Joe's watch. This happened and is happening now...not then. We'll have to wait for the midterms for the Independents to stop this putz from further problems from Joe's redistribution of American (but not his) wealth.

You still haven't responded to my initial post.

I think responding that you can’t apply for benefits if you didn’t work just went over your head. Obviously you thought it was numbers of unemployed. I’m sorry but it’s get tiring trying to explain things to you. There is a reason I wasn’t a special Ed teacher, thanks for constantly reminding me.

You're such a dumbass to assume someone didn’t work. Go eat your dam turkey leg.

Speaking of redistribution of wealth. How much did you get from Trump's rich people tax cut?

Nice try to quote Bernie when it suits your right wing narrative. Here's the real scoop on how the proposed bill would impact the rich.

The proposed tax changes would primarily impact very wealthy Americans. Currently, the country has a 37% tax on adjusted gross income (AGI) for people making at least $10 million a year. The BBB adds a surtax of 5%, and an additional 3% for people making more than $25 million.

The surtax would raise an estimated $230 billion over the next decade. Including state and local taxes, the BBB could give some of the country's highest earners a sizable tax bill.

I don't know how the rich did with that, but I paid nothing. If they redistributed from me...I'd be in a tent under an overpass.

And what did Trump and his rich pals get?
Cemen, take a chill pill, your way to aggressive towards your fellow Canes. Help is on the way. Nothing to worry about, we as a country need to survive until help arrives with the 2022 midterm elections. Then the Republicans stop any of this Lib, progressive Democratic nonsense and starts to get some real legislation to get this great country back on track. Help is coming!

And what did Trump and his rich pals get?

Funny habit of mine...I count/spend my own money. I don't covet others' results.

I paid nothing, zero. I hope you made a ton of money and saved much more than I in taxes. If not, I still wish you made a ton of money even if you saved nothing on your tax bill.

We were hearing so much from the national media about the 400 richest families paying 25+% while the rest of us paid 24+%.

So, if my taxable income was $50,000,000, I would have paid $12,000,000 in taxes.

If my taxable was $100,000, I would have paid $25,000 in taxes.

While there may have been a slight difference in the tax rate itself, the listing of deductions has a monumental difference in lowering the taxable income for the low and middle income earners. I realize there are many others factors at play here. My point is that nothing is as simple as it appears to be. Especially since the media chooses to cloud our thinking.

Have you been following the back and forth between Elon Musk and that total phony, Bernie Saunders? Bernie, the Socialist owner of 3 homes wants to further tax...what he calls...the super-rich. I just read that the upper 10% pays 71% of our federal tax while earning 48% of our country's income. This is a long, complex argument but I'll stop here.
