It's fukking sad your boy Mitch has sat his ass on the Heroes Act which could have helped this woman. Speak to Moscow Mitch.
The Heroes Act a 3 trillion $ sack of crap not affiliated to Covid. No thank you. Isn't it funny and strange how all of a sudden Nancy Pelosi the witch is now considering a 900 billion $ package since the election has assed? She is full of crap.

Letter: Tell real story of Democratsā€™ Heroes Act
The Fayetteville Observer

Republicans for Integrity? Seriously? (ā€œGOP takes aim at Social Security, Medicare,ā€ Wayne Gilchrest, Opinion, Aug. 15.) Instead of fear-mongering which is not based in fact, why not bring up the pork in the Democratsā€™ Heroes Act? It includes: 1. Eliminating the SALT deduction limitations that benefit high-earners in blue states; 2. Marijuana banking? In a COVID relief bill? 3. Hazard pay healthcare workers of an ADDITIONAL $13/hour until their total income reaches $200,000; 4. Fifty MILLION dollars to the Environmental Protection Agency for grant programs to provide ā€œenvironmental justice??ā€ No wonder this bill only passed by nine votes in the highly Democratic U.S. House.
THATS THE HEROES ACT !

Small businesses being under pressure is a federal policy failure. Both parties have been squabbling on stimulus money being sent out to small businesses and individuals for the past few months, which is putting added pressure on people like this woman.

As for her complaint about the movie company - that company also employs dozens or hundreds of people who get to work and stay afloat. Pelosi and McConnell need to get a stimulus passed ASAP to get money out to affected businesses.

Spin it any way you want but what they are doing to these small businesses is cruel .. These people have families and they donā€™t want HANDOUTS..!!!

Why is everything with you liberals progressive solutions are always hand-outs...

The nation is currently in an emergency situation that is on par with being at war, which means that businesses will obviously be disrupted, and those that are affected should be eligible for assistance to get back up and running. Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp ?

The better question is why not TRUST the people?

I guess you missed the national emergency part. People who congregate in public places spread the virus much faster than people who stay indoors. That's the reason why local governments are putting restrictions in place - to end the virus sooner so everyone, including these businesses, can get back to normal as soon as possible.

The problem is the virus, which is made worse when everything is open.

Who says.. Fauci who's changed his mind 4/5 times...
Japan where 80-90 % wear mask are having a huge breakout...
What does this say about mask... !!!

You live in a country that's made of laws, so you will have to abide by them. If you don't want to do that, then buy a small Island and create your own country with laws that you like. Until such time, you're going to have to abide by the law here.

Go by what he's saying right now, after he's had a chance to review more data following 10 months of the virus. What he said in March means far less than what he's saying in the present.

Really? Lets let Publix and WalMart know that. When we get back to business will this be before or after the business owner has lost everything including their life savings, home, cars, savings, and the business itself? You liberals are really really dumb as F.

I believe most grocery and department stores are open across the country.

To your second point, that's what so called stimulus money is for - to help people in need during national emergencies. If they have to close down for a short period of time then the revenue they miss out on will aided by the stimulus money.

Raoul, have you ever owned a small business?
Also, why have state and local governments reduced prortionally property taxes for the time government rules keep them closed?

These are local failures. I'm not making the argument that they have all the answers and the fact that there is no federal strategy on COVID leaves the door open for local and state governments to employ different policies in their respective areas.

Then will you at least admit Newsome, Pelosi, Garcetti Breed and the dikey looking LA commisioner are hypocrits regarding their COVID edicts vs. their personal actions? A simple yes or no will be nice.
If and only after you answer in a yes or no fashion, you can also include an explanation for your answer, if you wish please offer five similiar yes or no names, I will answer under the same rules, that is only fair. I look forward to your response

Any politician who doesn't practice what they preach on COVID deserves all the criticism they have coming their way.

C'mon Raoul, you're a bright guy. The buck stops with Newsome, particularly with California's Billion dollar Movie Industry. He know's what's going on.

I've looked into this regarding the movie industry - they apparently have a similar standard as professional sports teams do. Everyone is tested daily, there are COVID officers on every set ensuring people maintain social distance, and actors do not remove their masks until cameras are rolling. Small business obviously don't have the resources to do that, so I can see why its a bad look and why it appears like a double standard.

I don't know Raoul, it seems like a complete double standard to me. Covid Officers?? If actors remove their masks when the camera's roll, does it even matter that they had them on in the first place? Of course, I don't think masks, distancing, and certainly lock downs do anything. At best, they just delay the inevitable.

There is a Federal strategy but our system is a Democratic Republic 50 individual states make up this great Union without a heavy handed Federal authority.

This is pretty much what college and pro football players are doing now. If people are tested daily before even being allowed to play (or act in a movie), and its mandatory for them to wear masks during breaks, then obviously they are going to be in a different risk category. Not saying it still won't be perceived as a double standard.

Which is why you're seeing the problems we have right now. Our system is not made to have a whole of government response to a problem that is affecting the entire nation.

FL has been wide open for 3 months and zero issues. The idea that lockdowns work is mind numbingly stupid.

100% of school districts have in-person learning, tons of events and live entertainment taking place, and every bar and restaurant is packed.

So no none is going to point out the simple truth? Sucks for her but its apples to mangos. Every person on that set will get tested before they come in, there is a monitor that enforces policy like a dictator, they stay masked at all times when not eating and must be 6 feet from each other eating. Miserable work conditions, certainly not what a patron at a restaurant would put up with. But carry on. Definitely a thread I'll never visit again.

I can say with a fair degree of confidence every time I see post like this I agree it is sad but for different reasons. Political affiliations don't matter and the sad this is you really believe either party gives a shit about us.

How long are you going to fall for this banana in the tail pipe? These parties just point fingers so stupid people excuse thier nonsense. It's sad to be completely honest.

I knew you would not have the moral courage or honesty to say your team has a bunch of lying hypocritical third world wanna be dictator's. Kind of like the slogan of another political movement in this country - SAY THEIR NAMES!

You can bitch like a little girl all you want about Trump but he is who he says he is and does not impose restrictions on others that he is not willing to follow. Can't you SAY THE NAMES of Newsome, Pelosi, Garcetti and the other corrupt California Demo politicians as being liars and hypocrits?

I think my statement covered everyone. The fact that you're squealing like a tortured animal because I wouldn't list a bunch of Dems confirms that your intent in asking the question was completely disingenuous. Next time, maybe try fixing your attitude if you want to engage in a grown up discussion.

We are seeing the problem because there is a highly contagious virus on the loose. It's infecting people nearly worldwide.

Speak to Ice Cream Nancy, But why is the same thing allowed to be open next door? Did the movie studio pay off the mayor? I am sure you will not answer that question.
I'm certain that movie studio brought lots of jobs to that neighborhood. There, I answered your dumb question.
