…in latest poll from D1Baseball.com.

With 2 straight ACC sweeps to lead the Coastal at 10-2 and improve to 21-6 overall, Miami moved up 9 places from 17 to No. 8. I expected us to move but it that much.

The ACC has 7 teams in the Top 25 lead by UVA at No. 3, our opponent this weekend at The Light.

Meanwhile, after getting swept at home by ND, the Noles plummeted from No. 5 to No. 20 after a 0-4 week.

We are now the hunted, Caniacs and it starts Tuesday and Wednesday at home vs FGCU and FIU. Don’t be surprised if these teams throw their Friday starter at us as this is a chance for them to claim a ranked team for their post-season resume.

Another aside: With 2 games how will Coach G and JD juggle their pitching roster? This could be all arms on deck and we might see some unfamiliar names take the mound.

Go Canes!
