word out of Texas is AD Steve Patterson is rubbing a lot of coaches and alums the wrong way. He has been cutting the budget in athletics as well. Supposedly the situation is turning into a gary Anderson Barry Alvarez type situation where Charlie strong is going and asking for stuff and being told no which is not helping his competitive advantage. He also is running into a rich rod(Michigan) situation at Texas with alums and boosters. He still has strong( no pun intended) ties to the state of Florida. Even though he has a $5/yr salary he does not have a buyout so would not owe Texas anything if he chooses to leave or another school tries to grab him.
