On a great basketball career.

Some of you guys know while my family is from south Florida I grew up in Connecticut with ties to the UCONN basketball program. I know Kevin Ollie and several of the players from back in the day. I have met Ray Allen several times and he is one of the most humble, and just great people I have ever met. He doesn't act like a super star or surround himself with a posse.

He and Allen Iverson are my favorite college players ever. They had epic battles back in the day....and a mutual respect for each other.

I will never forget the day playing pick up ball with Ray Allen and Marcus Camby who is from Hartford, CT and bought and paid for by Calipari to UMASS but that is another story I...I digress....but Allen didn't miss a single shot the entire time. I asked him if he ever planned to miss. He just looked at me like I was crazy and said "not today" lmao. I have never seen anyone with that kind of confidence in his jump shot. He was an amazing shooter. Easily the best I have ever seen.

I got to witness live one of the most clutch plays in NBA history when he hit that three pointer against San Antonio in game 6. The arena lost all hope until that shot and in the blink of an eye we all hit the roof. The only other times I felt like that was when I was sitting behind the goal post for Wide Right I and the recent FSU game when Kaaya hit the TD on 4th down. All three of those events had one thing in common....we went from no hope to the improbable. Of course in the recent FSU game our left tackle didnt give me a lot of time to celebrate the improbable.

Yeah that was a good one. My brother and I were watching on TV and as soon as Ray got the ball we both said "BANG"....lol. The dude is money! We still call him shuttlesworth til this day.
