Not at all given that there is hard scientific evidence that they work. What has changed is Trump's twitter platform was taken away, which removed his ability to lie about the election, COVID, and anything else.

Trump pushed through the fastest ever creation and availability of a vaccine. The vaccines, which were manufactured while Trump was in charge, have had an exponential affect in slowing the spread.

According to the science from the CDC, those cute little cloth masks alone only have a 44.3% effective rate and that is under laboratory conditions. That is a less than 50-50 chance that they will keep you safe. Very much like the "anecdotal" info that my niece the travelling COVID nurse, and the doctors that saved my wife's life have been saying about them.

I'm looking at the actual CDC web site that tracks scientific research on masks and it isn't there.

Masks work to help slow the spread and that is all. Do you disagree with the CDC when they said that after studies in Jan that a cloth mask alone gives you less than a 50% chance of effectiveness from a cough? Keep in mind that that was under ideal conditions in a lab with a properly fitted cloth mask. My niece has had colleagues that became infected while wearing full PPE's. Do you really think your face diaper is going to keep you and your family safe?
Absolutely. They are mandatory within Government as well, and for good reason. They protect the wearer and those they encounter.
Please show data for infections in Florida schools and where/how transmission took place.
To be clear, I am not saying to not wear a mask. I wear one when I'm out and technically I'm immune right now. Take every precaution you can to avoid COVID until enough are vaccinated and/or we reach herd immunity but I hope you don't think that masks alone are enough to keep your family safe.
Opening sentence was BS in the article but I read it through. It's manatee county and he brought several thousand doses there and they felt the doses should be given to minorities not the over 65 elderly. Our State is doing very well by any measure versus all others thanks to the leadership of our Governor. AND WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS AND OUR CHILDREN ARE IN SCHOOL!!
No they don't bongo. Masks keep some of my spit from flying into your face not all. It does not protect me from you. Only a K95 mask can briefly protect from inhaling a virus.
I agree with facts in real settings. Schools in Florida prove it. Like I said before

There are links to cases in schools and just speak with the educators who wear masks daily. They work. Facts are facts
The point is the masks should be worn, hands should be washed frequently, and people should stand/sit away from one another. I have never said otherwise but I also know the mask is no where near 100% and none of these masks can stop a virus from getting in because a virus is is one of the smallest organisms in the world.

Spit has nothing to do with this. Masks protect people from droplets and aerosol that carry the virus, which is the main way they get infected. Trump’s own CDC director has been pretty clear about this, as have all the experts from May onwards once enough data about how the virus spreads became available.
Raoul with all due respect this might be the dumbest post you ever wrote. I mean a 11 out of 10. Droplets and aerosol? What do you think they are? They are a persons spit or nasal secretions snot. I mean seriously bro. Could also be respiratory droplets phlegm. The mask blocks those from flying into your face PARTIALLY. Not more than that. I do wear a mask every time I go out. Only because I believe it to be common sense and certainly can't hurt but I also worked as a surgical tech in the Navy main operating room so I know a thing or 2 about aseptic technique.
Further if a person wears a mask and coughs and sneezes into that mask throughout the day and then doesn't wash that mask daily, then the mask is completely contaminated. They touch it then they touch things around like door handles, elevator buttons etc.....
