I live in Hollywood Beach but closer to Hallandale Blvd so I go north to establishments and easily Sunny isles or Aventura etc.. Although eating at home much more I do pick up food at restaurants and sometimes throw 1 down as I do. It's just crazy that once I enter Dade County to pick up the restaurants are ghost towns inside with occasionally people eating outside and in Broward some restaurants look almost normal. Broward a decent outdoor crowd and the same indoors. Dade 4 people max at a table, Broward 6. The whole thing just makes no sense to me.............

Come up to Palm Beach County sometime. Restaurants in Mizner and Atlantic Ave are packed. It’s great.

That's what I'm saying. Dade = dead (nearly) Broward = steady business at many establishments and Palm Beach = humming right along. So it reveals that this State is fairly open for business and in locations open people are CAREFULLY assuming risk and desiring to live somewhat normally again.

100% agree. Went to Clearwater Beach last weekend and the hotel was full of tourists from all over the country. Pool deck was filled with 50+ people constantly. Beaches, bars, and restaurants were full.

People are over Covid, they understand the risks and are happy to continue living life as normal.

Good. Florida is going to need the tourist back for the tax revenues.
Need to have people from around the country till maybe early next year when international people might start coming.

Read above for the reason why Florida is a hotspot for the virus. The problem all along has been lack of a coherent strategy on the national level and on the state level in some cases including Florida.

The only hot spot in the state was Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. Rest of the state did just fine with limited restrictions. Wonder why those mask mandates, closing the beaches, and closing down businesses didn't work?

As a whole, the lockdown counties in the SE had much worse outcomes than any of the large population counties in the state which came along with highest per capita deaths and continued elevated hospitalizations for covid.

There is also no strong apparent correlation with population density of the county either.

Per your opinion Hawaii would have the most optimal outcomes; island with controllable borders, most restrictive lockdowns, arrested vacationers for violating 14 day quarantine, masks required, most businesses closed. Didn't work, won't work.

Glad you pointed this out. All the places that went on tight lockdown get it later. Look at New Zealand, zero cases for awhile and now they are postponing their election. Guess with it so bad here we need to delay are election till next summer.
Very few can hide till there is a vaccine.

Yep, but people like lou run from the data #1 because they can't counter it but I would venture to guess because they also don't understand the multiple factors at play. All they see is cases and deaths and don't put them into context.
