drive Or walk down the street in peace. Have people assume the best in me, not the worst. Have folks assume I’m a contributing member of society, not a taker. Be able to buy a house or car without people questioning where my money came from, not have to worry about a police officer in prison me for asking a question on the campus of my university, not waiting 2 hrs by my car in the hot sun while I wait for a canine unit to come search my car bc I look suspicious even tho I’m just a black male driving a car I busted my aaa for 2 consecutive summers to earn!

I’d like to not think about what’s happen to my 3 nephews when they interact with someone on the way back from the store buying candy.... that’s what you get to do that I can’t do in peace. What you would consider your rights...

Do you honestly think the black experience in America is the same of a white person? My mom was 16 when they allowed her to go to a non black school? Drink from a water fountain, use a bathroom, or even vote ( she got to do that at 18). I bet you your mom never had to think about that. But that’s the past as u say. What if your mom experiences all those things, then you experienced some of them, being called a n*gger shaking hand during little league bc you won a game.... you think it’s the same?

100 years ago Italians came to Ellis island and they got ****ed with just like the Irish, Germans and poles. But when WW2 started they didn’t have separate regiments for your grandfather and his brothers. And they weren’t even born here! My people fought in separate regiments cuz we were viewed as less than. We cane back and they murdered some after fighting for wearing their uniforms on the street! If you think that hate has gone away you’re misguided. Those same boys who ****ed with people my moms age for actually going to school, they are the same men who are mayors, judges, police chiefs, RIGHT NOW!!! And you tell me it’s in the past. I lived in Miami (93-99), Tampa (99-03), dc (03-08) Miami (08-now)..I had incidents, my friends had incidents. I’m trying to tell you brotha I had a different experience. And I was a student for most of that time. Trying to do the right thing by pursuing education and a career. Still had incidents.

Deuce, I would view the man who looked at you as a 1/4 of a man with the same disdain as you. I've been stabbed in the back by more people than I can count over my 61 years. But these people are scum and you ignore them and move on. I say this to you with the utmost respect that if any man makes you feel less of a man then that is on you, not them. I have been blessed with many friends, black, white, hispanic, and asian. My wife is a hispanic immigrant. My friends, while sinners like myself, possess character and integrity or I wouldn't have anything to do with them, and those qualities come in all colors.

Craps took me for $1k yesterday. The casinos are pinching everyone... only 2 craps tables open because they can’t get enough people back to work, and the table minimums on both were $50!!!!

Call and make sure their minimums are lower and have enough tables. Some Caesars properties on the east coast have you sign up for a table like they do in Poker, and they’ll call you when ready. Had to wait nearly an hour to play yesterday.
 
White people I know haven't complai. ned that the opiate crises isn't a serious problem in this country. It's a problem for all races..............It's awful along with many other things. Quite a stretch here OP

The stats say that while Blacks are only 13% of the population that they are committing 53% of homicides and 60% of armed robberies. Are those the stats you're talking about? What about this one? In 2018 there were 547,948 black on white violent crime incidents while there were just 59,778 white on black violent crime incidents. The numbers say that you are indeed more violent.

Victimhood is the derivative of all these problems. White people in West Virginia cry about losing jobs in coal mining and get hooked on opioids and OD on them and say they just need to mine coal and this would stop. Black people in Chicago say the police are the problem when every year hundreds of young black men are killed by other black men and cops very rarely if ever kill black men in that city. The problem with victimhood in any society is that when you blame others for your problems you lose your agency as a person and a community to effect change and better yourself and focus on the small slights of others rather than the large change you could effect from within.

show me one article or person with any credibility that said the police is the reason why people are killing each other in Chicago. Never heard one... send me the link I’d like to see it

lacquan mcdonald was one case. Yes they were to blame for that. And he got charged I believe. But where in there does she blame the police for the murders in the city. It doesn’t say that anywhere in the article. She has a beef with the union. Bc they won’t follow the federally mandated consent decree. Ok. So what?? That’s a fair argument for a mayor to have with her police dept. however you fee about it. It’s a fair for her to go at them and fair for them to come at her. But no where in that article does it state that she blames them for the murder rate.

I'm heading to a dinner reservation, google it you will find plenty of articles finding black Chicago politicians throwing the police under the bus for their failure to protect the black community and to improve the lives of black citizens in Chicago.
