I remember eating their square pizza slices back in the 60s and just had some shipped after finding it on a food app. You know what, it’s unique crunchy crust is still as good as I remember as a kid. Also found out it was the first pizza place to open in Miami.

I probably got pizza from there but my go to pizza place was the Little Ceasers on Dixie HWY near the University . Stumbled in there many times.🤪

Interesting factoid. Thanks.

Go all the time. You can have it shipped on there site or Goldbelly.com. Have been going for 63 years, 9118 bird rd.

Frankie's and Anthony's were the two "go to" Bird Road pizza places. Different, but great memories from both.

I remember Little Caesar’s too. Always wondered if they got forced out by the chain or made any money off the name.

I think it may have been one of the very early Little Caeser's stores. I think it had the Little Caeser's logo on the window. I can't be sure, it was many years ago.

Was absolutely a better quality than what the name now offers.

Definitely!! Wouldn't eat Little Caeser's today. Then again, back in the day, if I was hungary I would eat anything. Definitely better quality years ago. I also remember picking up a bottle of Yago Sangria or Boones Farm from U tote M to drink along with eating Little Caeser's. I was living large!...lol. Wouldn't trade in those experiences with my buddies for anything.

Frankies actually started out in a small storefront near the Riviera theatre on South Dixie hwy in the late 50’s. Frankie would always put a slice on top the box for take outs. His daughter took over the Bird Rd store when Frankie retired.

Sergios is still there. Fantastic Steak Sandwiches. Remember many lates nights headed home and stopping for one.

I know this is a pizza thread however how many of you used to stop at Holsums for a late night sandwich?
