You left out the small little detail of security being the primary cost of traveling. Trump and his family have needed a lot more security than any other presidency. I am guessing this is because we have influential pop stars telling people she wants to blow up the White House, Hitler comparisons by influential democrats and violent protesters everywhere you look......and none of it is being condemned by any influential democrats. You cant have it both ways.

Security is identical. It hasn't changed, but nice try. Trying to justify his travel expanses makes you look ridiculous. The one main difference is that he is getting paid for a large part of the travel expanses because he is forcing this country to pay him while he travels. Every time he goes to NY or WPB secret service pays him for lodging. It's a joke, and regardless how you feel about his policy this should outrage you like it would if it was Obama or any other President.
All these guys rob the people, it's all depending if it's your guy and how much your willing to ignore. However Trump I'm sure gets extra security due to his outspoken nature and many with nothing to lose.
No, you're wrong. It should take you no more than two minutes to use Google, do the research and pull articles about the heightened security. It was also reported by CNN. Obama's travel expenses didnt cause me outrage and neither does this when we have tons of issues that are 20 times more important.
Let me put it to you this way......if we're concerned that the POTUS is spending too much money on travel expenses or that somehow its a waste of taxpayer money we have much, much bigger problems.

My problem is that he found a way to profit off of our tax dollars, which he is abusing the shit out of in one month in office. Imagine 4 years of his self-serving BS. The President should not be allowed to profit off of anyone while in office, and it is ****ing insane that Republicans are not outraged by this. This has nothing to do with his policies or beliefs. This has to do with a President that is going to take care of himself first before concerning himself with the citizens he is suppose to represent.
How did he profit off your tax dollars? What about your tax dollars paying for Bradley Manning's sex change operation while he was in JAIL for being a traitor? Or you don't mind paying that tab? Republicans don't care because they know he's down their away from all the leaks in the White House, if Obamas career tax payer bureaucrats had some dignity and class and kept their mouths shut he wouldn't have to leave the one place that should be sacred and classified! The guy works a lot of hours on his plan to say "he's more concerned about himself" the guys nonstop working on Govt issues.
Profiting off our tax dollars? Really? Educate me on this because I am pretty sure its the secret service, military and local police agencies that are making the decisions on how to protect Trump. Whether you love him, are indifferent towards him, or hate him, every American should want the institution of the presidency protected. The office itself is one of the most sacred things we have and there are other ways to remove a president rather than praying for his death which would certainly be more likely without highly trained government paid security.
Question, should we continue to foot the bill for Obama's personal safety and security if he decides to run a business or profit off anything he does from here on out?

By forcing the secret service to protect you at your hotel or your golf club is profiting off of tax dollars because he is billing them for his own protection. He should be working at the White House, and his wife and child should be living there as well.
The fact that your argue these points shows that you are unwilling to admit any fault on his part. Stop feeling the need to defend him for every single one of his actions. A President that is profiting off of public tax dollars with his personnel businesses is 100% wrong. He has financials incentives to not be in the White House, and he is clearly using that to his own financial advantage. Any logical person can see that.
First off, I have not defended him on every one of his actions unlike the other end of the spectrum where many think its a national crisis every time he takes a dump because they believe he leaves the toilet seat up. Based on your reasoning Obama and his family should stay at home and be limited on how many times they travel, if at all, because they are still afforded the protection of the secret service.

Did anyone "force" the secret service to watch Obama in Hawaii? Chicago?? It's their job. And it's tough working at White House when you have treason ongoing daily with leaks, classified info getting to the press etc!! And how is he "profiting"? Where's his "financial incentive"? Explain that if your able too
Based on my reasoning, Obama should not be allowed to profit off of secret service protection. That is my problem.
He should be taking the salary, and not using the office as a way to make a larger profit.
Sure, I would pass up a $400,000 salary to make $2 million a month off of secret service protection.
The one thing that is for certain about Trump is that he has always acted with his own financial interests first. I'm not sure why people feel he isn't going to do that now that he is President.
I don't see this, a lot of money is spent on secret service at Trump Tower for his wife but I think thts out of his hands and I don't see profit from that
If they are paying to stay at Trump Tower that goes to him. If they are paying to stay in WPB that is going to him. These are facts. So even while he is in the White House, his wife staying away from him is putting money in his pocket.
