Florida I am proud to say thought thru Roe v Wade better than nearly any State in the Nation led by some very astute females who had the foresight to realize what Roe v Wade meant and how fragile it really was at the Federal Level.
So 4 years after they started to think about PRIVACY RIGHTS in a BROAD sense as an amendment to Florida's State Constitution. And boy were they clairvoyant!
Thus the 23rd Amendment which puts Florida as one of only a few States that handled it correctly .
This is currently in litigation over the attempt to impose the 15 week rule for abortion but read this article yourselves.

Florida has a unique right protecting abortion. Its framers designed it that way.
More than 40 years ago, a Florida law professor saw the state's privacy amendment as "insurance" if Roe v. Wade gets overturned. It's being tested.
