Good afternoon, and Happy Friday Baseball Caniacs...
The weekend is here!
After a five-game homestand, we're on the road to play UNC in a three=-game conference series. The big news today is because bad weather is expected in Chapel Hill oN Saturday, Games 1 & 2 will be played today as a doubleheader. Game 2 will start 45 minutes after Game 1 ends.
The Canes are 21-11 and 13-10/ACC/3rd) while the Tar Heels are right behind us in the Coastal at 18-16 and 12-12/ACC/4th). To say this series is important, they are all, but we're just 1 game in the win column behind Pitt and GT tied for 2nd place at 14-10 and not that far behind division leader VT at 15-9.
FR RHP Alejandro Rosario (4-2, 5.45 ERA) gets the start for us in Game 1 vs RS SOPH Austin Love (4-3, 4.55 ERA).
Jordan Dubberly will start Game 2 for us later today and Jake Garland takes the mound Sunday in Game 3. IDK what the status is for FR RHP Victor Mederos.
Because Game 1 starts just after 3 pm and I work until 4 pm, I will miss the first 60-90 minutes of the game. However, our good friend Cane50 has agreed to come out of the pen and cover until I can take over. A BIG thanks to Cane50!
