What an opening game stinker!
We lead 1-0 after 2 but in the top of the 3rd GT plates 8 runs......they added 1 in the 4th...1 in the 6th...3 in the 7th and 1 in the 9th...we added 2 in the 8th...
This looked like one of our FSU losses as we have now fallen 3 1/2 games behind Coastal leader GT...
Our Starter McFarlane lasted only 2.1 innings giving up 7 ERs...we blew through 5 pitchers and they gave up 17 hits and still, they left 11 batters on base...

No need to bore U with more stats or me waste my time doing them...
I'd say Game 2 is the most important game of the season for us...we have to find a way to dig down deep...way deep...and get a W Saturday or we could be looking at another sweep.

Well, the weekend is here and so is Coastal Division leader Georgia Tech who is in town to face our Canes in a crucial three-game series beginning tonight at The Light.
If U missed my other thread on this series preview, standings, RPI and SOS, etc, check out what separates us from GT. No much. A sweep by the Canes could put us in first place. Lose them all and we are done trying to win the division.
Alex McFarlane will be on the mound for the U.
