James hired a coach without a search to hire the best coach possible. That’s is a red light!!!! Then rumor has it that he extended a subpar coaches contract with / or without approval that has not shown any progression in developing players. That alone should put him in the hot seat to be fired or at the very least bring in someone that knows football and remove football from James’s auspices.
next, Diaz does not deserve a minute to show a little improvement. The avalanche of fans and supporters behind this IM team has fallen by the wayside. I am one of those fans that have 12 season tickets in the club level and I would not even give them away. This could be my last year attending games because I am done with 15 years of mediocrity and no attempt to bring in a qualified head coach as well as after 54 years of loyalty to this program. No more donations I’m done if drastic changes are not made. Diaz is not the man to coach this team. South Florida is a hot bed of talent and yet UM is below average as a team in the power 5 with NO development of players. This is just a pathetic situation. UM was a large revenue producer for the school, now let’s see what it costs them when the ticket sales head south and they have a stadium contract to pay for from their pockets!! This school should grow a pair like USC and start to get rid of the dead weight. I’m friggin done.
