Its starting to annoy me a little that all the CanesSport Staff continue to bloviate about how much bigger and stonger and faster running back Gus Edwards is than Joe Yearby. Also predicting that Gus will be the #1RB this season.. While I would agree that Physical Stats and 40 times do count for much in this game they don't necessarily equate with on the field results and game time ability.
Based on what I've seen in games last couple of years with Gus and this past year with JY. Barring injury Joe Yearby will be the better Running Back with more carries more yards more more catches, maybe not more TD's because they will probably go with Gus in short yardage and goal line situations based on size alone..But regarding goal line, If you remember even 2 years ago Dallas Crawford was a better short yardage and goal line runner than Gus Edwards was....Dont get me wrong I wish Gus the best this upcoming season but Game results/stats mean a little more to me than gym stats and your 40 time..

Joe has also shown he is a big time threat catching the ball out of the backfield...If the O Line(Mainly McDermott,Linder,Isadora,&Darling) gels and stays healthy obviously... JY will get 1000 yards in my opinion.. thats someBig ifs but I think it will happen..
