No I think I understood you fine. I think our breadth differs. "Climatology" is a relatively new field, as compared to older more classical fields of study. All our Science were developed by Great people Davinci, Paget, Madam Curie, Franklin, etc. What they had in common was they worked the whole field of science from gravity to chem to geography, anatomy, astrology. etc . What climatologists have now, they inherited from others , from other fields, from aerospace, astronomy, so its natural a group of people with the same interest could all agree on the same conclusion ( confirmation bias is what we would guard against in a med research). By you saying
The reason I brought them up is to say that amongst climate scientists, there is consensus, and if they didn’t have the entire scientific community agreeing with them (they do), it wouldn’t matter because doctors, although they have backgrounds in science, are not climate scientists and their opinions don’t, and shouldn’t hold weight on the subject.
you are saying no other opinion on this science is valid other than your own,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I'm a no one, and my contributions toward science would be modest, if any, but I was/and am very wary of Hubris. In medicine a good Dr. knows their stuff, and a great Dr knows their stuff and never shy's from asking a 2nd opinion. Though that moral comes from my field of science, it is still applicable toward all fields within science n'est-ce pas
I think , as I said before, we need more patience, that will provide more data, which will allow you to create better predictive modules, with higher positive predictive values.
I think the "solutions" that are being threatened serve a political interest, while not addressing the largest producers of pollution ( a promise to reduce in 10-20-30 yrs from now has NO credibility), and are not serious scientific solutions of choice for global warming. Good thing in my book , because we still need to observe, monitor, and take data on this.
Great convo truly Solar ! I hope I wasn't to much of a 💩 throughout, as my intent is to show you respect by speaking honestly. I do bet we can agree on something,,,,,,,,,,,, neither of us love global warming
