1995... the Miami Heat had agreed to terms with Cincinnati Bearcat HC Bob Huggins and were set to announce his hiring. Then in the course of 48 hours the history of the Heat was completely transformed. Pat Riley left the NY Knicks and Heat management canceled their agreement with Huggins. The Heat dared to be great and their objective was simple. WIN. I know they are a pro organization. But my question is... confronted with a similar option what would the Miami Hurricanes do? Huggins was considered a bit of a rock star with the Bearcats. But the Heat saw that Riley could not only make them better but could get them championships. Better HC options are available now for the Canes. Everyone knows James already screwed up by not undergoing a real search to replace CMR. What does and should Miami do? IMO, unless we go at least 4-2 to finish the season, giving us a 7-5 record, I say we dare to be great. Go after a seasoned HC with experience, and who is a proven recruiter!
