i think to a small extent this is because the Warriors style of basketball is a lot of fun to watch, that said the main reason is Lebron hate.
He must be the most hated/loved athlete by a long shot. His supporters are vociferous and have a lot of stats backing his greatness (I hear ha Brooks and you are right he is the best in the world today). But I believe those ratings are packed with people like me that tuned in to root against Lebron. I don't hate guy at all, but I root against him all the time, even when he was with the Heat.
