Elite 11 Finals: Composite Ranking of the 20 QBs (2022) in the nation..."subjectively", subject to change, and sans two of the top (5) QB's "subjectively" in the nation, with the "consensus" number-1 Dude...last name Manning...one of the non-attendees!
Here are the finalized rankings based on Elite 11 prospect performances this week in Los Angeles.Ranked # 11....Jaden Rashada (Miami)
***Although (20) total high-end signal callers are invited and ranked after Day-3 of this event....Only the Top-11 really earn the right to be called an "ELITE-11" ***
Composite: 9.7
Day 1-Ranking # 16...Day 2-Ranking # 6...Day 3-Ranking #2
Rashada’s natural arm strength shines on the run, throwing against his body, and even moving away from his target. Some of the best throws from the entire group of Elite 11 finalists were made by Rashada during the week. To that point, he upped his performance on Day 2 and Day 3, making difficult down-the-field throws look easy. Elite 11 shows why numerous colleges wanted the now Miami commitment to be a part of their respective programs.
We had high expectations for Rashada coming in and still really like him a lot as a prospect. He flashed at different times and today was probably his best overall day. He was among the leaders in the target competition and made some really nice throws during the 7v7. Saying that, he never looked fully comfortable or like himself. He admitted as much after the camp saying the stress of the last couple of weeks got to him and having some time to clear his head a bit and unwind will be a good thing for him. In terms of his ceiling and pure arm talent, we still think he's a top five quarterback in this year's class!
Ranked # 3... Emory Williams (Miami)
Composite: 5.7
Day 1-Ranking # 13...Day 2-Ranking # 3...Day 3-Ranking # 1...."DAY 3, NUMBER 1, aka: EL NUMÉRO"
Another surprise in our top 10 who recently emerged on the recruiting landscape by committing to Miami, Williams made all of the throws he needed to—as well as the occasional difficult toss—in the pro day and accuracy gauntlet settings to skyrocket into the top three by the end of Day 3. As he became more comfortable around more established arms, Williams’s mechanics improved drastically, allowing him to go on several ball-placement hot streaks across Days 2 and 3, including finishing above his initial (obviously disrespectful) # 19 (Elite-11), pre-3 day competition rankings!
***And this my friends, is yet another in a never-ending, long ass line of tangible, true-to-life examples of the assininity/subjectiveness and overall Snakeoilliness...not a word...of the high school Athletes Star rigging...error I mean rating system...to wit:
Kid (Emory Williams), was a surprise, prolley last minute selection...I surmised...to be chosen as an attendee/competitor for the most prestigiously-elite...pun intended...gathering of high school QB talent in the World. A surpise due to his (3-Starred) UNRANKED designation prior...these numbers are most certainly in for a change, so yeah..."Awesomely-Unsuspected" indeed....GO CANES!!!
