UM hasn't had a QB with genuine leadership skills since Dorsey. Having the equivalent of a "coach" on the field is an incredible asset to a team. There is nobody on the roster who has studied and worked harder than Brad. He had an incredible year as a freshman. His knowledge and awareness of the game, playbook, defensive reads, and of our competitors is light years ahead of where it was a year ago.
Physically he is a totally different guy than a year ago. Dramatically stronger, quicker. He might be the smartest guy on the field .. including the coaches. I'll never forget some of Dorsey's down to the wire wins. Him grabbing linemen by the face-mask and yelling at them to play harder. The whole team took their play up a notch to get it done. Playing football - well - is to a large degree mental. The guys who get fired up, who want it, want it bad, just play a half step faster and make crucial plays. I think Brad is one of those rare guys who will help get more production out of the players. That could be crucial in winning some important conference games. Could add what? Two or three games to the projected W's? Thoughts?
