Over the past 15+ years, there have been times when the roster was depleted due to NCAA sanctions and the residual effects, however during the pre and post sanction times, our roster has been considerably better than almost every team we have lost too, except of Florida, Clemson, and Wisky. Our recruiting classes have been ranked higher than all but Clemson and Florida. We have a high number of 4* recruits and a few 5* guys, yet we continue to lose to teams filled with 2* and 3* guys.

The probably has been and continues to be coaching and development. We have taken chances with suspect coaching hires, including Randy, Al, and now Manny. We begged a guy, Richt, to come coach us even though he really didn’t want to coach. I believe a good coaching staff, such as those you see at Georgia, Clemson, and Oklahoma and Alabama, would have this team undefeated this year and on the way to a 10-2 season worst case.

Our team consistently looks unprepared, undisciplined, and unenergized. We consistently get out schemed by opposing coaching that are bringing less talent to the field. For example, all you had to do was read a couple articles to know that VT was starting a running QB yesterday, yet our coaches and players looked lost. We consistently make true freshman QBs look good.

So, although we may not be the most talented team in the country, our roster is certainly the most talented in the coastal and more talented than every team we have played this year except for Florida.

We have lost 8 out of the last 12 games and I attribute the majority of these losses to coaching, not talent. We have talent, just poor coaching and development.

If we don’t start Kosi on Friday night after throwing for 400+ yards, we know the coaches have it out for Kosi and like Jarren better as the face of the program. The last three quarters we played with Kosi at the helm were the best three quarters we have played in a long time. Our offense looked explosive and made big, explosive plays. Totally different energy with Kosi at QB.

The New Miami theme has lost all creditability and will set us back due to more decommitments and difficulty selling recruits that things will get better. I end this post with my new hashtag #TSM (The Same Miami)
