When in 2017 we had the 12th ranked recruiting class then went 10-3 the following year. 2018 recruiting picked up really well with the 8th ranked class which included #2 ranked RB, Lorenzo Lingard, #1 TE, Brevin Jordan, #2 DT Nesta Silvera, #11 WR Mark Pope, #5 QB, Jarren Williams, #12 CB, Al Blades Jr., #5 OG, D.J. Scaife, #7 RB, Cam Harris, #8 TE, Will Mallory, #12 OG, Cleveland Reed and a whole bunch of other top players that schools like Bama, Clemson, Ohio State wanted. On paper this looks like an elite class. 2019 class was an outlier due to going 7-6 but it looks like the talent is there, we just are doing a lot with it once they get on campus. It's downright scary to think how Lingard, Jordan and Pope would look in Clemson, Alabama or Georgia uniforms.
