Nice to see Akheem Mesidor return to the Hurricanes for another season. He was one of the most versatile players on the defensive line, able to play both inside and outside at a very high level.
He has 145 total tackles (85 solo), 22 sacks, and four passes defended in his career, including 32 tackles (17 solo) and 5.5 sacks last season.
He dealt with foot injuries to both feet in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Mesidor will play a sixth year of college football in 2025.
