dudes offenses were not exactly lighting it up at centra mich nor Ark.
Also while SR QB Brandon Allen did have a good yr Enos 1st yr there. His brother Austin Allen seemed to regress from his from his 1st yr to his 2nd under enos.
I’m not saying Enos is not good it’s just people have already labeled him this great QB coach and messiah and his resume is not that great to support that title. I remember folks here doing the same thing with rich Olsen because he coached Trent Dilfer and also Mark Whipple. People were spending the whole summer telling us about how they talked with his former players and how great the O was going to be. Had phrases like “Whipple ball” and the “ Whiplash Offense”.
I think people are giving him too much for Tua. Tua is a good QB and prob would have put up the same numbers if Daboll had stayed the OC and not taken the Bills the job. It’s a reason why Saban brought him in in the 2nd half of the Title game against UGA. Also we saw Tua struggle against teams with similar talent like LSU, UGA and Clemson when they could match athletes and scheme him. His penchant for the big play and difficulty reading coverages was exposed against them. I know everybody is giddy over him because Nick Saban wanted him and Kirby too. I just want Miami to run a exciting winning brand of offense and Enos doesn’t come exactly with the resume of a Chad Morris, Gus Malzahn, Lincoln Riley or Joe Moorehead or even a Mike Yurich.
Maybe Enos will end up being Miami’s Ryan Day. A basic unknown who comes and runs an explosive offensive and produces a Heisman contending OC. I hope so
It just seems that somewhere in the bi-laws it is written that Miami HAS TO RUN A PRO-STYLE offense lol!
It kind of amazes me that people here say “ well we can not be like Bama or UGA or such and such” yet u want to run the same offense as them. We need to run an offense that gives them problems and develop QBs that gives them problems too. The 2 guys are defensive minded and want offenses that won’t put their defense in a bind. They want to rely on their defense more than their offense and pound the ball with RBs. Miami should be more about Skill talent and speed. People will get mad but we should be more like Clemson or Okla than like Bama or UGA. Manny is s defensive coach so maybe he wants an offense that won’t put the D in bind. Maybe he should be more like Bob Stoops another Defensive minded coach and former DC who ran air raid instead of Saban or Kirby.
I guess we will hope and see
