As the $ weakens, as it takes more money for the growers of you liberals soy milk, alfalfa sprouts, and make your tofu, as gas increases further (already gone from $2 to $3 per gallon) it then costs more for the truckers to carry your goods across the nation and get it to the Whole Foods for you folks. It's a chain reaction. Costing more and more at each stage of the product until the consumer purchases it at much higher prices. It is the MOST REGRESSIVE tax known. As low income people will feel it and be hit the hardest. One month it costs $20 to fill their gas tank to drive to work and home and a few months later is $28.00. One month they can do OK shopping for food for $125 and a few months later it takes $160 to buy the same basket. Restaurants then charge more. If you want to talk about trickle down I assure you this is more like a waterfall to the people and it hurts real bad.
