Oh wait, Randy has been gone for FOUR YEARS...
No no no no no... I got it- the proverbial "NCAA CLOUD" is the reason Golden had to get rid of Gadbois. We can't have any NCAA scrutiny on our program now that we are finally in the clear. Gadbois was too high a risk of a player.
Oh wait, THAT old excuse won't work anymore either...
DAMN. How is a Golden supporter supposed to SPIN THIS ONE...??? Hopefully the greatness that is one truthsayer a.k.a cdwright will come in this thread and educate the jabroni masses- this jabroni wants a front row center seat though when the oracle comes in here and lectures us all on how this is not in any way Golden's fault...
In the meantime, I'll tell you WHY it IS GOLDEN'S FAULT, to at least SOME DEGREE...
It is well documented that Gadbois' issues go back to high school, so either: (1) Golden KNEW about Gadbois' issues and rolled the dice on him ANYWAY, hoping that he and his coaching staff could work with him to get him to toe the line; OR (2) Golden and his staff simply did NOT do their due diligence in properly evaluating the player on AND off of the field.
So, all you remaining Golden supporters are free to spin this one to the fullest extent, but in my opinion, Golden is not without any culpability on this one. And.. As far as Golden is concerned, who is the NEXT MAN UP...??? If Golden has been properly recruiting and developing players now for FOUR YEARS, shouldn't we have a solid offensive lineman ready to come in and start...??? That's a rhetorical question by the way.
Maybe Gadbois should have stayed and maybe Gadbois should have been kicked off- we can debate that all day until the cows come home, but one thing is for SURE- our offensive line depth and quality just took a MAJOR hit, and that ULTIMATELY falls back on Golden.
