Mario is a flat elite recruiter. Like TRobb, from day one he has been special. All things being equal those two are elite (meaning top 5-7 in nation easy). Now, Lane is well regarded from what I understand w local coaches BUT he is not well liked in Miss and doesn’t seem to be putting in much effort. However, at SC he was right there with coach O was one of the best around. And at Tenn he worked very hard recruiting. Not sure what changed but he certainly used to be well regarded selling.
Lane has red flags (staying power, recruiting even ncaa) AND Mario has red flags (hes never been an coordinator and loses to bad teams). Anyone tells you otherwise has an agenda is a fan or really doesn’t know what they are talking abt. But both are good moves that will excite the fan base and upgrade our program a ton.
