The Pac 12 was at its weakest it had been in years when he started coaching at Oregon. He did well recruiting California with the relative weakness of the LA teams and with Peterson leaving Washington. But each season he has had bad losses to weaker teams and now he sh^ts the bed against UTAH. Yes he has had several key injuries. Yes I know he can recruit and has a strong leadership ability .But if he is going to come here he will have to have better coordinators than he is working with particularly on offense.. He had Herbert 2 years and finished poorly. No coach is ever a sure thing except maybe Saban .
But we are about to invest a lot of money in picking the best coach out there to get us to the promised land. I hope the choice is done carefully .
