Memphis - Looking for ideas

I'll be in Memphis for a week for a conference. Any must see places to go or must eat places?
We've stopped in Memphis a few times while travelling across the country. Have only stayed overnight so didn't have a chance to see a whole lot. Mostly just hung out on Beale St and enjoyed the atmosphere. Can't go wrong with any of the BBQ places there.

Beale Stret is touristy, kind of a New Orleans wanna be, but worth seeing, The Peabody Hotel is a must to visit. See the ducks walk across the lobby. The roof top bar there used to have some great scenary but its been a few years, post Covid who knows? Is right down the street from Beale. Itta Bena is a very interesting restaurant, you go up a narow metal back stair, once was a private club where a lot of Memphis organized crime was planned. When you learn the history you will either love it or hate it. It will take you back to the 50's and 60's. Memphis should have been Atlanta.

Folks Folly (steak) and Erling Jensen are excellent old local restaurants. You might run into Fred Smith at the Half Shell, little dive bar near Fedex. I think you will enjoy a lot of the MLK history in the town, the real stuff. A trip down to Tunica Casino's is enjoyable if you like to gamble. They also sometimes get in some very good acts. Have done a lot of business in the town and always enjoy my time there.

What part of town are you staying?
