I've been on here since at least '99 - it's funny when you are used to following recruiting so closely and used to us finishing with top 10 classes, to look back and see how we really did at the end of each recruiting cycle. The reality is that at least since 2011, we have had one elite class - and it's the one that is starting to turn it around for us in 2018. Otherwise, we have had very mediocre classes - frequently in the 30s - and even the ones that are "better" are not real as many of the commits never even made it on campus and should really not count as part of the recruiting class in hindsight.
Based on this, we really are where we belong - a team on the cusp of the top 25 (we are better than at least 5 teams on there), but nowhere near the elite in terms of talent (FSU and USC on the other hand have no excuses)
