The blue line seemed to shoot upwards a 2nd time in early June after visionary morons like DeSantis and Kemp decided to "open up the economy" in their states. Their actions caused more of their citizens to die. Something to remember when they are next up for reelection.

No you actually open the economy in stages and make sure you have testing contact tracing so that you can handle the cases what’s been done in the south is just mind-boggling

Who's being flippant? I'm just citing the numbers. What is the average age of those 2,700 deaths? Comorbidity stats? Are the numbers, as low as they are, even real given the financial incentives by hospitals and nursing homes for reported Covid deaths? Do you honestly think this hysteria isn't calculated?
