155 years have gone by since the slaves were emancipated. That's plenty of time to go shopping for boots. Other races and religions have come here without receiving free land, government handouts, government policies to promote growth, etc., yet they seem to be doing fine and are not playing the blame game.

None of the groups you cited have had to endure 250 years of institutionalized racism and another 100 of Jim Crow based on their race and appearance. Groups like Asians, Indians, Koreans et al had the advantage of coming here from cultures where work ethic, identity, and family support structure were already in place. Africans, because of the fact that they were brought here involuntarily and then generationally subjected to non-stop racism where class mobility was restricted for centuries, were denied the advantage that Europeans, and to a much lesser extent Asians, Hispanics, and others were afforded. Therefore MLK’s bootstrap analogy is 100% spot on and has been repeatedly reinforced by decades of social science.

Yeah but you don't share the entire story and it isn't pretty. You have to understand what slaves were to understand how accountable they can be. We are talking about giving land to people that have never been allowed to read or write or had to be accountable to anyone but a slave master. So what exactly the heck would you reasonably expect. Someone to just go out there and do trade like he was a white man? Do you think the playing field was the same? When you are talking about commerce and working within a community as a just former slave and you look at how his white counter parts did it, it would be foolish to expect the same results.
This idea people have sold in their heads that there is no difference between doing business as an African American vs as a white man is for the lack of a better word delusional at best. This operates on the basic premise that there is no prejudice. That all people are treated equally. It's some weird fantasy.
This is being part of the problem not the solution. You're handing over a life time crutch....for free. There have been plenty of governmental programs created to help blacks that Asians and Hispanics were never privy to......but I guess its easier to play the blame game, which happens often, then for someone to put forth a little effort in trying to help themselves. By the way, this is not the only country where parts of the black population blame whites for things such as imprisonment.....and those other countries where the blame game is being played didnt have black slavery......but just like this country, stats show that someone who is black in those other countries is 4 or 5 times more likely to be imprisoned than other races.
Here are two questions for you......why is it that more than 30% of the male black population has been convicted of a crime? And do you not think that is part of the problem why ,many blacks are treated differently?

Is the white man to blame for blacks killing blacks at alarming rates? Is the white man to blame when we see protests turning into riots which leads to blacks destroying their own neighborhoods by fire and looting? We created all this madness?
