"Blaming supply chain for inflation is like blaming your sweater for being too warm AFTER you just added several logs to the fire." Thats the quote @miamimike for NY Times op-ed piece today from Steven Rattner former Treasury Official in Obama Administration.
Too simplistic.............he writes.

"They were warned"

and for those that will say well thats just Fox News

Rattner also stated, “They can’t say they weren’t warned — notably by Larry Summers, a former Treasury secretary and my former boss in the Obama administration, and less notably by many others, including me. We worried that shoveling an unprecedented amount of spending into an economy already on the road to recovery would mean too much money chasing too few goods.”

Attention Mike- Rattner said Biden's claim that supply chain issues were the cause is " totally dishonest".Rattner and Summers warned Biden a year ago that his policies would cause rapid inflation. Sorry to point. out the truth.

You act like rising inflation is only incurring in the U.S. and ignore the fact that inflation rates are at record levels in the eurozone and everywhere else.

Inflation in Eurozone at 4.1%, felt mainly to be due to increased cost of energy. US oil production fell .1 million barrels per day in 2021 compared to 2020.

Annual inflation rate in Euro Area edged to a fresh record of 5.1% in Jan. 2022. Gas prices are rising as a result of limited oil production caused by supply chain problems.

Back to Biden? You keep switching topics. We were discussing inflation rates in the eurozone which you understated and were caused by supply chain problems.
